A horrifying crime has shaken the quiet neighborhood of Devli Extension Triple Murder Case in South Delhi. On a seemingly ordinary Monday evening, a 24-year-old man named Anuj allegedly killed three members of his own family. The brutal act, which took place around 8 pm, has left the community reeling in disbelief.
What Happened That Night?
According to police reports, Anuj used a heavy iron rod to attack his family members over a heated property dispute. The victims were his father, Rajesh Kumar, 58, a retired MTNL employee; his mother, Suman, 55; and his elder sister, Pooja, 28, who worked as a private school teacher. The argument reportedly spiraled out of control, leading Anuj to commit the unthinkable.
- Rajesh Kumar: Found lifeless in the living room with severe head injuries.
- Suman: Discovered in the kitchen, unable to survive the brutal blows.
- Pooja: Tried to intervene but met the same tragic fate in her bedroom.
Neighbors heard loud noises and screams but didn’t suspect anything so grave until it was too late. One resident, still in shock, said, “We thought it was just another family argument. No one imagined this.”

The Investigation Begins
The police were alerted by a neighbor who noticed blood seeping out from under the family’s door. When officers arrived, they found a grisly scene and arrested Anuj on the spot. He showed no resistance, sitting quietly near the bodies. A senior officer shared, “This is a clear case of rage driven by a long-standing property feud. We’re digging deeper to understand what pushed him to this extreme.”
Authorities recovered the iron rod used in the crime and sent it for forensic analysis. Anuj has been charged with murder and is currently in custody as the investigation unfolds.
A Family Torn Apart
Relatives and friends are struggling to make sense of the tragedy. Rajesh and Suman were known as a hardworking couple who dreamed of a peaceful retirement. Pooja, described as kind and ambitious, was saving up to start her own tutoring center. Anuj, the youngest, had been unemployed for months, which may have added tension to the household.
The property dispute, believed to be about the family’s modest home, had been simmering for years. Sadly, it ended in a way no one could have predicted, leaving a once-close family shattered forever. The police promise a thorough probe as the community mourns this devastating loss.
