Ramban
The incessant heavy wathers in Ramban district (Jammu and Kashmir) has claimed three lives. Extensive Floods from the heavy ramban rainfall pounded homes, infrastructure alike in the region caused by the flash floods of the extreme ramban rainfall.
Landslides and Flash Floods Hit Ramban—
That rains in the Bagna village area were turning things bad with ramban weather causing huge landslide that destroyed the homes. Three people dead, their house washed away c) The ramban heavy rainfall even turned into flash floods that submerged many houses and shops, roads leading to intensification of normal life.
Blocked lanes on Jammu-Srinagar Highway
The heavy Ramban rainfall has brought the strategic Jammu-Srinagar National Highway ( NH 44) to a complete stop this has been the only all-weather road that connected Kashmir with the Northern part of the country. Landslides and mudslides at several spots between Nashri to Banihal have left drivers & vehicles stalled in a situation that has Kashmir rain aggravated.

All schools shut down in Kashmir Valley and Ramban:
Authorities have directed all schools in the Kashmir Valley and Kupwara district, as well as another in Ramban district against the backdrop of the heavy Kashmir weather conditions and increased rainfall forecasts. This is a precautionary step to secure the safety of students during the kashmir rain. Ramban meteorological weather conditions also predicts that you’ll have to proceed with caution in.
Rescue relief operations underway
Ramban: The Police and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams as well local volunteers are busy in rescue and relief work over affected areas of Ramban. Jammu-Srinagar national highway blocked, providing relief for those caught up in ramban rainfall landslides authorities are working to clear.
