Reliance Infrastructure, which is owned by Anil Ambani, announced on Wednesday that Dassault Aviation, a French aircraft manufacturer, and Reliance Aerostructure Limited have partnered to produce Falcon 2000 business jets in India.
Dassault will assemble its Falcon aircraft outside of France for the first time. India has joined a select group of nations that produce business jets for international markets, which also includes the United States, France, Canada, and Brazil.

By 2028, the first “Made in India” Falcon 2000 jet—which will serve both military and commercial customers—should be in service.
On Wednesday, shares of Reliance Infra were up 5% at Rs 386.05 per on the BSE.
Plans to set up a final assembly line at Dassault Reliance Aerospace Limited (DRAL) in Nagpur, Maharashtra, were part of the announcement, which was made during the Paris Air Show. Future assembly activities for the Falcon 6X and Falcon 8X planes will be part of the facility’s transformation into a global center of excellence for the Falcon series.
Eric Trappier, the chairman and CEO of Dassault Aviation, and Anil D. Ambani, the founder and chairman of Reliance Group, both reaffirmed that the new deal demonstrates the French behemoth’s intention to fulfill its “Make in India” pledges. “This partnership is a strong demonstration of our dedication to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India for the World’ visions,” Ambani continued.
According to the strategic goal discussed with our partner Reliance, it signifies the ramp-up of DRAL, said Trappier.
Key production procedures, including the assembly of the Falcon 2000 fuselage, wings, and front section, as well as front fuselage work for the Falcon 8X and Falcon 6X, will be transferred to DRAL as part of the cooperation. Additionally, Dassault plans to improve its facilities to accommodate these cutting-edge production lines.
From its Mihan factory in Nagpur, DRAL, a joint venture established in 2017, has already supplied more than 100 significant Falcon 2000 sub-sections. Over the course of the following ten years, several hundred engineers and technicians will need to be hired in order to accommodate the new manufacturing line’s greatly increased capacity.
