At New Delhi, Pasang Dorjee Sona spoke about the new tourism policy launch as the Hon’ble Minister for Tourism Education RWD Library and Parliamentary Affairs. The government aims to achieve double domestic visitor numbers and reach an international visitor increase of ten times to offer multiple immersive tourism options.

The new policy prioritizes experiential travel with a focus on:

- Wine Tourism—Promoting local vineyards and traditional brews.

- Adventure Tourism—Encouraging trekking, river rafting, and mountaineering.
- Film Tourism—Positioning Arunachal Pradesh as a Cinematic Paradise.
- Ecotourism—Promoting conservation-driven travel experiences.
- Tribal Tourism—Celebrating the vibrant indigenous cultures of the state.
- MICE Tourism—Facilitating Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions.
- Border Tourism—Showcasing the strategic and scenic border landscapes.
Boosting Investments and Business Ease
The government is simplifying business processes to attract investment, with district-level land banks and a dedicated investor facilitation cell in partnership with Invest India. Skill development initiatives are also being introduced in collaboration with reputed institutions.

To amplify its global presence, the state is rolling out an extensive promotional strategy including digital campaigns, social media outreach, and event-based marketing. With a remarkable 300% surge in foreign tourist arrivals and a 368.91% rise in domestic visitors in 2023, Arunachal Pradesh is set to redefine itself as an unparalleled travel destination.
