TMC Trial Chief Pushkar Singh Dhami responds to violence in Murshidabad
Mamata Banerjee Targeted:
Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami has written an angry open letter to the West Bengal Governor over alleged “appeasement politics” by Mamata Banerjee, if one taps into the current conditions of West Bengal vis a vis 1947-48.
Dhami said “Mamata Banerjee will soon hang from the wall,” pouring all his anger for the current political morphology in West Bengal of West Bengal.
Work Protest in Murshidabad Violence Condemned:
In a letter, CM is said to have said the latest violent instances in Murshidabad relates to protests against the Waqf (Amendment) Act.
He characterized it as “brutal hooliganism” and underscored that the only condemnation for such activity should also be brutal.
Arson violence, rioting and many people have been driven out.

Waqf Amendment Act Row:
Crux of the matter stem from the Waqf (Amendment) Act, the row over which has seen street violence and uprisings in the Murshidabad district.
The act will hand over the land grabbed by miscreants under Waqf Boards to their original inheritors, Dhami had said
BJP Attacks:
Alleging an “ethnic cleansing” as per BJP leaders, in the wake of violence led by Agnimitra Paul – admitted by Mamata Banerjee and local TMC leaders for a support.
BJP: Investigation by NIA demanded from the government
Odisha Police Get Mixed Roll:
Odisha Police however have nabbed a large number of people in relation to Murshidabad violence.

Meanwhile, violence has seen many families move from northeast of Murshidabad to Pakur, Jharkhand for their safety.
And this has created a heavily antagonistic political climate, where the BJP and also TMC is making serious accusations.
