A shocking crime has come to light in Burari Delhi, where a 16-year-old Vaibhav Garg, was kidnapped and brutally murdered. The tragic incident unfolded on Sunday evening and left the entire locality in shock.
On Sunday at around 7:30 PM, Vaibhav received a phone call and left his house,Gali No. 5. Milan Vihar About an hour later, at 8:34 PM, he called his father Vikas Garg , asking for money to eat outside. His father advised him to use the money available in his account and promised to give him more once he returned home. That was the last time his family heard his voice.
Shortly after, his phone calls became suspicious. Vaibhav started ignoring repeated calls from his parents, cutting each one. Even neighbors attempted to reach him, their calls were also rejected. Eventually, his phone was switched off.
Search Efforts and Police Involvement
Worried about their son’s safety, his father began searching the neighborhood but found no trace of him. At around 12:30 AM, he approached the Wazirabad Police Station to file a complaint. The police initiated a search, hoping the boy would return home by morning. However, as there was still no sign of him, a Police Control Room (PCR) call was made to escalate the search operations.

The Call and Arrests
By Monday morning , with the help of CCTV footage police arrested 3 of his friends as suspects. Monday afternoon at around 1:40 PM, Vaibhav’s father received a call from Vaibhav’s phone demanding ₹10 lakh for his release & if the family tried to reach the police they would be going to kill their son. As the investigation intensified,. They also retrieved call records to track all the individuals Vaibhav had contacted or received calls from before his disappearance.
The Shocking Revelation
By Tuesday, authorities arrested four more individuals in connection with the case. One of them finally confessed to the gruesome murder, revealing that Vaibhav had been killed and his body dumped near Bhalswa Lake. His parents were called to the crime scene for identification, where they discovered the lifeless body of their son.
Vaibhav’s body was found in a horrifying condition. His neck had been slit with a knife, and his stomach bore multiple stab wounds. The crime, discovered around 6 PM, has left his family and community devastated.
