In order to assess important infrastructure projects and governance efforts, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presided over the PRAGATI meeting, which is an ICT-based multi-modal platform for Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation that involves the Center and State governments, according to an official release.
PM Modi evaluated three significant infrastructure projects totaling more than Rs 62,000 crore in the areas of water resources, power, and road transportation across several States and Union Territories during the meeting on Wednesday.

Emphasizing their strategic significance, he cautioned that delays result in cost overruns and deprive citizens of necessary services, and he asked stakeholders to resolve implementation issues and guarantee prompt completion.

Prime Minister Modi urged state governments to enforce mandatory registration of all eligible real estate projects under the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) Act in response to public complaints about the agency. He emphasized that strict compliance is required to restore public confidence in the housing sector. According to the announcement, he also demanded that grievance redressal be done more quickly and with greater quality in order to guarantee justice and equity for homebuyers.
The Prime Minister also examined India’s semiconductor ecosystem’s best practices in support of the National Semiconductor Mission, noting that they might be used as a model for broader adoption across States and Union Territories.

As of the most recent PRAGATI sessions, 373 projects worth around Rs 20.64 lakh crore had been reviewed, highlighting the platform’s vital role in advancing governance and infrastructure development.
