Visakhapatnam Andhra Pradesh — As many as seven people died and several got trampled to death on Wednesday morning when a wall collapsed at the crowded Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple in Simhachalam, said to be one among deities associated with Lord Vishnu.
The incident made its way worse as an unfortunate story accompanied the popular yearly festival Chandanotsavam that brings a massive number of devotees to Simhachalam.
Reasoning and Context of the Disastrous Home Collapses
The wall that collapsed was close to the entrance into the ghat road of the temple complex which had a queue of devotees who bought special Rs 300 entry tickets on that road for visiting.

Collapse Cause and Setting
Aggrieved patients died instantly: rains overnight and strong winds tore away the structure.
The force of the storm is said to have loosened the soil that the wall rested on, which resulted in its collapsing at around 2:30 am. As the festival was taking place, a few devotees were waiting for their utmost time of Lord as per tradition “Nijaroopa Darshan” when tragic happened. The reports say it may have been a recent wall that has collapsed.
Rescue Works and First Respond
The teams of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Force( SDRF) and local police in immediate rescues once the collapse, thereafter the fire services started their process. The teams worked higgledy-piggledy to till out pilgrims from underneath the structure. Emergency medical treatment was provided to the injured in nearby hospitals as soon as possible. Andhra Pradesh CM N. Chandrababu Naidu has expressed his deep anguish over the incident, while assuring all wrists to be brought breast sections and officials have been told to provide complete assistance for victims and families including best possible medical care for injured The government has also declared ex-gratia amounts to the families of victims and injured. Conveying his condolences Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced to provide number compensation from PMNRF. Officials have already taken the step to probe into details regarding the tragedy and find out why it is that the wall tumbled under the heavy rains being experienced.
