The three Pakistani terrorists who were accused of conducting the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians had posters put up by security forces. The ‘Terror Free Kashmir’ posters have been put up in several locations in the Shopian district of Jammu & Kashmir.

A reward of Rs 20 lakh is promised on the posters to anyone who can give good information about the terrorists involved. The agencies have assured keeping confidentiality about the identification of informants.

Terrorists fired in Baisaran Meadow, about six kilometers away from the town of Pahalgam, and killed at least 26 individuals, including 25 visitors and one Nepali. Since the Pulwama massacre in 2019, this horrific incident has been the deadliest attack to target the Kashmir Valley.

Three of the terrorists include Adil Hussain Thoker, a resident of Anantnag, and two others who are Pakistanis, Ali Bhai also referred to as Talha Bhai, and Hashim Musa also referred to as Suleiman. All three terrorists belong to the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT).

The Pahalgam attack was attributed to the Resistance Front (TRF), an offshoot of the Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Pakistan-based. India initiated Operation Sindoor against nine terrorist groups in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on May 7.

In response, Pakistan attacked Indian military bases and residential areas near its international borders. India, however, crippled Islamabad’s offense by hitting 11 of its major air bases in retaliation for its unjustified offensive.

India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire on May 10 after weeks of fighting along the Line of Control (LoC). India informed that it won’t pursue diplomatic talks with Islamabad and that it has merely stopped military action.
