A man in his 28 tried a brutal murder-slash-suicide in Uttarakhand by wounding girlfriend (27y/o) and then attempting to commit suicide with her.
A restaurant in Budhwa Shahid village was the stage for the incident which fell within the purview of police station Buggawala.
Prince Kumar from Muzaffarnagar (U.P.) turned up at a restaurant as the woman he wanted was working there and was from Saharanpur.
Man Stabs Lover, Burns Her Alive:
They had an initial chat right outside the restaurant, and then Kumar pulled the knife. He first cut, then (in the most gruesome way) he poured petrol on her before igniting it. The violence of it struck some bystanders at the time as a glossed-over exit strategy. Kumar had acted so fast that little intervention was possible, and so onolutious a response expressed that it reinforced how serious he tried.

Girlfriend Burns: Lover Blows Up Her Blouse and Attempts Suicide:
Upon which, he tried to commit suicide after that horrible act. He cut out his throat on scene.
The two also both injured critically and were immediately taken to nearby district hospital. Nearly being killed was literally their life changing, they were then taken by ambulance to a medical facility in Dehradun for later care. Medical teams across the city are working to stabilize both patients, whose conditions are serious.

The police investigation found that the woman had already been turned down by Kumar’s family and her family got her married elsewhere. Police: Inspector Bhagwan Singh Mahar told that the police have already informed families of both injured persons and they are doing an investigation. No complaint registered yet officially. Both the sequence of events and the reasons for this tragic act are being investigated by the authorities.
