Jaipur: A young superhero Vaibhav Sooryavanshi has put his name in the history books of Indian Premiere League by smashing fastest century by an Indian batter yet the emotional response of man the record he broke has been special as Yusuf Pathan. This 14-year old Vaibhav smashed the fastest century by an Indian opening batsmen from 35 balls as he played two of these hundreds for Gujarat Titans against Rajasthan Royals JMRs on Monday and surpassed Pathan (who had earlier scooped up this run off) long-standing 37-ball masterpiece (back in on-the-same-farm).
A Legend Faded, Now Part Of The Legacy
The raw talent and no-holds-barred bravado of Vaibhav’s electrifying half an hour has taken the cricket world by storm beyond his years. At not only a record-breaker for an Indian in the IPL but also the second fastest in history of the tournament less than 35balls Jayant Raina’s century from 7 vs Chennai Super-kings beyond Chris Gayle’s 30-ball innings it took Rohit Sharma.
And at just 14, Vaibhav became the youngest player to hit a ton in men’s T20 cricket as well, another feather in his cap as he continues to add to it. His outlandish stroke play played the biggest part in Rajasthan Royals getting to their target challenging.

Yusuf Pathan and His Bond With The Trick
Yusuf Pathan getting his record broken by an exciting young sleigh no doubt gives him big fat moment on pride with this quote also being “easily made extra special” because right now Vaibhav IS representing Rajasthan Royals. Pathan posted on social media to wish Vaibhav good luck, noting the special backend that franchise has now. He posted, “Many Thanks from the bottom of my heart to @Sooryavanshibvb #VaibhavSooryavanshi for breaking my Ipl record of hundred in shortest runs by Indian player.. It was even more special to me as I did it just like me at the time playing for @rajasthanroyals.
This franchise seems to possess this magic touch for youngsters in abundance.
Long way, champ!
Pathan’s gracious response says a lot about the brotherhood and the game itself–– in line with celebrating a new crop of talents, while reminiscing about his incredible past performances too (for the Royals) alike.
Vaibhav’s knock and Pathan’s reaction has already developed into an important crux, it represents two ends of a line and merging points of IPL at this stage between homegrown vs players buying from BBL, vintage to NC.
