Kabul/New Delhi – An earthquake of 5.9 magnitude struck the Hindu Kush mountains region of Afghanistan in the wee hours early Wednesday morning and the shockwaves reached the northern areas of India like parts of Delhi & NCR. The earthquake, which happened around the time of 4:43 AM IST also hit many sections in capital and its close by Noida or Gurugram making people rush out of their homes.
The epicenter of Afghanistan Earthquake on Saturday was said to be in Hindu Kush mountains measuring NCS which was found at a depth of 75 km. The magnitude is widely reported as of varying between some agencies and the NCS has confirmed it as- INDIANS FOR THE WIN! This is one of the tremors felt across Asia in recent days.

I was told the Hindu Kush is reputed for their shaking since its where the Indian and Eurasian tectonic plates meet, due Afghanistan being located along their collision isthmus. Earthquakes are not uncommon in Afghanistan. Afghan officials are assessing the situation for any potential damage or fatalities in and around the epicenter of the Afghanistan earthquake news;
Delhi NCR (Delhi-Nagar) is come under high seismic zone and the latest earthquake will again make everyone discussing about earthquake preparedness in the Delhi-NCR region.
The epicenter was not in the city but the depth of this quake meant to hit it over a larger area.
